“We” are two professional managers who have each worked for over 20 years in a number of professions, countries, and industries. We’ve been the recruiter and the recruited. We’ve hired hundreds of people. We’ve also been laid off ourselves and become re-employed (more than once). Our experience includes many different industries, eg. manufacturing, finance, engineering, oil/energy, government, and mining. The point is, we’ve been there—on both sides. We are not just writers with some ideas about what might work. After seeing the amount of completely awful and ineffective advice on the internet, we developed this site to provide people with advice that really works.
